Running a successful warming center that houses the homeless community of Gloucester County is our passion and our calling. However, it does take many resources to in order to make it happen. Code Blue Gloucester County is a registered 501(c)(3) public charity. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible, and you will receive an immediate receipt for your records. 90% of every dollar goes directly to funding our emergency winter shelter, hot meals, and outreach services for our unhoused neighbors in Gloucester County. Our warming center operates on nights when temperatures are forecast at 32°F or below (including wind chill). Shifts typically run in 3-4 hour blocks in the evenings and overnight (e.g., 6 PM-9 PM, 9 PM-12 AM, 12 AM-3 AM).
We are deeply grateful for any time you can give. You can sign up for a single shift, multiple shifts, or become a recurring volunteer. We use a simple online scheduling system to make signing up easy.
When the weather drops below freezing, warm clothes are so important to the health and survival of our unhoused community. Any clothes that you don’t want or would like to donate would make such a huge difference in the lives of someone who really needs it.
Our highest-need items are those that provide immediate warmth, safety, and dignity to our guests facing homelessness and extreme cold. We prioritize new or like-new condition items.
